Hello to the 2 maybe 3 of you that read my blog. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I know I enjoyed mine. Just wanted to post some pics of Alyssa's room. I finally got my curtains and my rocking chair covers back. My mom did both for me since i am sewing illiterate. We are still waiting on carpet. Hopefully we will get the carpet January sometime, just waiting until todd's job gets the good stuff in. I really wanted her room done by Morgan's birthday party, but that's not gonna happen. Oh well...atleast we have 50% of it done.

And this was my Christmas present from Todd's dad and stepmom. Totally unexpected!! Wasn't the one I had on my registry but I like this one so much more.

My next doc appointment is on January 13th, I have my glucose test and my lovely rhogram shot. Thanks goodness this is my last "test" my doc's bills are already up to $600 and that isn't even including my 20 week u/s. Can't wait to see what the hospital bill is gonna be!! Now we are in the home stretch....More than halfway, almost 3rd trimester. I know she is gonna be here before we know it. I can't wait to meet her and complete our family.

First Winter Storm

All day Morgan was asking to go outside. Finally Todd came home and she got her wish. The only reason she is smiling in this pic is because I told her if she didn't say cheese she wasn't going outside. I know I am so mean. LOL

I am officially fat!

So I am officially on a pregancy diet. I have splurged way to much these past 4 weeks, and today at the doctor I saw the toll it took. I knew i had gained a lot of weight, I can see it in my face and my arms, so I knew it was coming. 12 F***ing pounds is what my fat ass gained in 4 weeks. Serves me right. I should've known that eating a whole pumpkin roll in 2 1/2 days would hit my in my ass..literally! It's my own damn fault and a major reality check. So I am now watching my portions of what I eat and I am going to try to eat as heathly as possible. The doc also said i can work out if i am up to it, i just need to take it easy, cuz when ur pregnant you tend to pull things easier. So I am going to start working out on Todd's bowflex 3 days a week, for 20 mins. My goal for next months checkup is to either gain no weight at all or lose some of the fat that I put on. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I have enough self control to fix this before it gets worse. Me and pregancy don't go well together. I gained over 60 pounds w/ Morgan and I am not doing that again.

Other than the 12 pounds gained, baby alyssa (oh yeah that's gonna be her name) is good. When the doc went to find the heartbeat she kicked him..not once but twice. She already has an attitude! I am measuring right on track. Any pains that I am having are completly normal. I go back on Jan. 13 for my yummy glucose test. I have to say this is the worst part of the tests. I can take needles, but the glucose is nasty. I chose Orange again, even though this time they gave me an option of lime or orange. They gave me the bottle today to take home. That was a relief. With morgan i had to go to the bloodwork place drink the shit and sit for an hour. So w/ this I take it at home 1 hour before my appointment. Another perk to next months appointment is I have the pleasure of receiving a shot. I am RH negative so I need to get a rhogram shot so if the baby doesn't have my blood type she won't reject my blood. When I was pregnant w/ Morgan they made me bend over (that's right) to give me the shot. This time I have the option of arm or ass. I think I will take the arm this time, cuz even though there is a lot of fat in my ass I remember crying with that shot.

Baby's room is almost ready to go. All the wallpaper is up and the new bedroom door is on. Hopefully we will be doing the carpet tomorrow, but i doubt it because we are supposed to get snow. So my hopes of her room being done before X-mas is probably not going to happen. But that's okay because I don't think I am going to get much for her anyway. My family doesn't seem to listen to me when I tell them not to buy for me and to buy for the baby off the registry. Since I am a snoop I check the registry all the time and the only things purchased have been purchased by me. Oh well!

I Hate Hormones.

So I think I am a little hormonal lately. Last night I got so mad at Todd for something that I look back on as being so stupid. I was taking a shower and he decided to give Morgan a bath for me. So instead of me looking at it as him helping me out, I took it as him being arrogant and giving her a bath the same time as i'm in the shower. Okay you might be thinking what the hell is her problem...but the second he started running the water for her bath I lost all water pressure and my hot water. So I was pissed, I flipped out and we didn't talk to each other the rest of the night. Now I see that I might of over reacted just a tad!

On a better note...we took Morgan for her X-mas pics the other day. I thought that she would cooperate this year, but boy was i wrong. We ended up with 3 decent poses, but this one is our favorite. Sorry for the blurriness on the bottom of the pic, I took a picture of the professional pic because I didn't want to pay $19.99 for a disc w/ 3 pics on it.

Baby's Room Update

So I've been slowly working on the baby's room. Friday night we decided to paint and put up some wallpaper. It was really nice we did it as a family. My husband isn't much of a painter and usually lets me do any room decorating, but he helped me and Morgan paint.

I really love the room so far. My mom is making a slip cover for my rocking chair and making my curtains. Hopefully she will have them done soon. As soon as the room has carpet we will bring up all of Morgan's old furniture. I will post pics as soon as the room is done. I hope to have it done by the beginning of January. I know its early, but we are gutting Morgan's bathroom before the baby comes and that has to be done by Feb. because of Morgan's birthday party. And we can't wait until after February to finish the baby's room because the way I look at it I will be too far along to want to do much. So hopefully we can get things rolling and get everything finished.

wallpaper update

So I got a phone call last night from Wal-mart saying they found my wallpaper. The guy said the slip on the box fell into another box or something. The guy that yelled at me should feel like a real asshole because it was his damn fault. I actually had to order another roll of wallpaper because my husband told me that 2 rolls would be enough but he didn't measure, so last night i had him double check and he said it would be close, so I got another roll. This time from Target.com. I paid a little more, but i know that they are reliable.

I am on my way to Lowe's now to pick up paint and a curtain rod, then to the fabric store to find fabric for curtains and to cover my rocking chair. I have a busy weekend so I will hopefully be painting early next week. Once it's painted and wallpapered I will post updated pics.

I hate Ghetto Mart

So here is why I hate Wal-Mart....not all Wal-mart's but the one by me in Whitehall. For one it is full of trash. The store is always mobbed, there is no parking, and people are just irritating. Oh yea and the employees are so damn rude. So anyway I bought my bedding on Wal-mart.com 2 Friday's ago. And I did site to store shipping, cuz i didn't feel like paying $30 in shipping costs. Now I wish I would've just paid it. I have been tracking my order for the past couple of days through UPS.com. According to UPS all of my items (bedding, mobile, lamp, wallpaper) were delived yesterday morning, and everything was signed by the same guy. So I called them last night to check on my order and the guy told me it wasn't processed yet. Okay I can wait. So I check this online this morning and 3 out of my 4 items are ready for pick up. So I called Wal-mart again to make sure everything was there and the idiot told me all was there. So I bundled Morgan up and headed to Ghetto Mart. I get there and the C.S. rep tells me that my wallpaper hasn't come yet. I told her that according to UPS everything was delivered, so she did all in her power (so she says) to find it and she couldn't. Then this jackass Gary came out and had the balls to start yelling at me and telling me that I need to call UPS because they never received it. So now it is all gonna be he said she said bullshit and I am going to have to play phone tag all day. I just called UPS and they are e-mailing me a proof of delivery, but once I get it I am not quite sure what to do with it. I e-mailed wal-mart.com too, but who knows if i will ever get a response. I just want my wallpaper so i can go pick out paint. Why does everything have to be such a pain in the ass??

my weekend

My Thanksgiving was pretty uneventful. The cowboys won, that was the highlight of my day. I don't want to think about all of the sweets I ate in one sitting. I won't be surprised if I have gained a lot of weight next checkup.

Baby girl is starting to get more active these days. She is still lazy compared to Morgan, but she definitly has her moments. I finished demo on her room yesterday. All the trim is off the walls, the closet doors were taken down and the shitty shelves and the pole in the closet are gone. Yes, I did it all by myself! So now I have a blank canvas. I have some holes to patch up but that is about it. I am hoping to have the room all prepped and ready to go by next Tuesday because I want to paint. I would like to have the room painted and carpeted by Christmas. But we will see, Christmas will be here before we know it.

Todd took over my dining room this weekend. We never use this room so we took the table downstairs and brought our futon, an extra tv and all Todd's cowboys stuff up. He now finally has his man room with the exception of my computer. The room looks really good. I bought him a fathead last Christmas and it is finally up on the wall. He was playing his xbox last night and Morgan wanted to play with him. So she has my controller and is wearing the headphones just like daddy. How cute is this pic??

Here is an updated belly pic. 21 weeks tomorrow. This picture doesn't do my bump justice. It really is bigger than it looks in this picture. But everyone I talk to says I am smaller with this one, and that I really have only grown in my belly. Let's hope it stays this way. With Morgan I gained over 60 pounds and I do not want that to be the case this time. Right now I am right on track with my weight which is good, but since the weather is colder now I just sit in my house and the snack food calls my name, that is why I can't wait to get the bedding and paint. I need to keep myself busy. I am tempted to give Morgan's room a little makeover since she is getting new bedding for Christmas. I guess we will wait and see how much energy I have in these next few weeks.

I think I found the bedding. It's from Wal-mart and a great price. Hopefully I will be ordering it this weekend.

Another little girl!!!!

She is perfect. I'm not gonna lie, at first we were disappointed, Todd and I both had it in our heads that this baby was going to be a boy. But now I am thrilled. We are talking names already and Todd is starting to act excited. I know all ultrasound pics look the same, but I have to say she is the cutest little thing ever. So I am now dragging my husband to babies r us to buy some fun baby stuff that I have been waiting so patiently for. I'm def thinking purple this time because everything for Morgan was pink. Here's some of the u/s pics.

Anticipation

Tomorrow is my big ultrasound. I cannot wait. Today is the slowest day ever which means that tomorrow morning is gonna suck!! My appointment isn't until the afternoon. All i hope for is that everything is good with the baby, doesn't matter girl or boy as long as it is healthy.

Baby's Room Under Construction

Construction on #2's room is officially under way. We have a lot to do to this room cuz the people that lived here before us didn't know what the hell they were doing. So far I have patched a thousand holes in the wall and started taking off trim. So far just around the door. All the trim in the room is going to be removed because they just used 1x2 peices of wood and did a poor job of painting it white. We are going to use good trim that matches the rest of the house. We are going to replace the closet doors and the bedroom doors. Faux wood is not my style. We are in the process of replacing all the bedroom doors in our house. We have 3 more to go....they are not cheap.

I know it's a little early to be starting on the room, but we are getting carpet installed in all the bedrooms so I want to make sure to paint before the carpet goes down. Plus I can only do so much, the rest of the work I need to rely on Todd. So I want to get done what I can do now, cuz the finishing part of the work Todd needs to do and I don't want to wait until the last minute. Here are some pics of what the baby's room looks like now. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks it will be painted.

Oh yeah, my doctor's appointment got rescheduled. So instead of going on the 25th I now go on Friday. Hopefully baby cooperates and we can find out what we are having. I really would like a boy, but I don't care as long as the baby is healthy.

My weekend

Todd's dad got married this weekend. So I just wanted to post some pics of Morgan. She looked so cute in her faux fur jacket. You will notice I am never in any pics. My daughter refuses to pose in a picture with me.

My doc finally called me back with the results. Everything is within the normal limits. So now i just have to wait 2 more weeks until my ultrasound.YAY!!

Suspense

I need to vent.....How freakin long does it take to get damn blood test results in??? So far it has been a week and I have heard nothing. Today I am having a really hard time with not knowing. I am sure everything is fine, but i just keep going back to the day that i got the phone call saying they thought something was wrong with Morgan. I have switched dr's since then, but they have my records they know the situation I had with Morgan..you would think they would have a little sympathy and call me sooner. I know with morgan i had the results back w/in 3 days. So what the hell. I just called the doc and of course the nurse line picks up and i had to leave a message. So i am just as helpless now as I was 5 minutes ago. Keep your fingers crossed that they call me today...with good results.

17 weeks

So today I had my 17 week appointment. Everything went well. Gained 4 pounds in 3 weeks, damnit! I say its all in my boobs. I did my quad bloodwork today. She must of jabbed me wrong cuz my arm has like 3 bruise spots from 1 needle. She said they will call me with the results...good or bad. Hopefully good and no bad news like with Morgan. The doc said they should call me either the end of this week or early next week. And if all looks good my big 20 week ultrasound is setup for Nov. 25. Think boy!! Keep your fingers crossed that the bloodwork comes back good. I don't want to go through what I went through last time.

Halloween

So Friday was Halloween, Morgan was so excited about trick or treat that she was ready to go at 2:00 and it didn't start until 6. She did so great at trick or treat, she didn't need mommy and daddy to hold her hand this year, and went up to the people with the candy all by herself. I am so proud of her, she is finally coming out of her shyness. She even gave Todd's aunt a hug.....usually she won't go near her. So my baby is growing up. Here are some pics from Halloween.

This weekend I took my daughter to her 1st halloween party. She is very shy, so she didn't really play with the kids, but I would have to say that she had fun. Take a look at these pics. Notice the orange all over her arms.....my friend Nicki put together goody bags for the kids and there was a stamper inside of it so Morgan decided to stamp both her arms. There was also a set of vampire teeth that she put in Sunday morning to scare daddy, they barely fit in her mouth so she has a very goofy face . Notice again the orange all over her hands!! LOL, she loves the damn stamper.
We also took Morgan to the circus this weekend. I tried to take pics but you weren't supposed to use flashes, so my pics just came out black. Morgan enjoyed seeing the elephants and tigers, but got bored very quickly. I have to say I enjoyed the show the most out of all of us.

14 weeks + a car

So Tuesday I had my 14 week checkup. I am happy to say that I have not even gained a pound. But I do have a belly, so I am thinking that by eating healthier I am actually losing weight somewhere else and gaining it in belly (and boobs). Then the doc came in 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. damn doctors. He had a hard time finding the heartbeat at first or so I thought...todd said he kept getting it and the baby kept moving around. but i was too busy freeking out thinking something was wrong. But we finally heard it, which is a big relief for me. I am really nervous with this one, I am really crampy and it scares the hell out of me. I go back in 3 weeks for another checkup and the quad bloodwork. The dreaded quad bloodwork. This bloodwork tests for birth defects. It shouldn't be a scary process, but with Morgan it was, she came back with a risk of spina bifida. So I had an emergency ultrasound at 16 weeks to find out she was okay, but it is very scary when someone tells you that they think there is something wrong with the baby. But anyway she is here and perfect and every pregnancy is different. So I hope everything with that bloodwork goes okay. So the way it's looking right now I will have my big ultrasound exactly at 20 weeks, maybe a week early, because 20 weeks is the week of Thanksgiving. So we will see. I thinks it's a boy, but that just might be hope. Oh yeah, I know it's very early but about once a day I feel it move.

So anyway. yesterday i bought a new car. Actually my husband and I traded in both of our cars, for one. He has a truck that is paid off, and had a very high car payment with his car so we decided to save money we would just have one big car payment. It is a big car payment because he had a lot of in-equity in his car, so we had to add on like $12000 to the price of the new car. It is a 2008 Kia Sorento. I had a Sportage before so this is the bigger model. I LOVE it. Plus it is saving us over $150 a month in a car payment. And with a little one on the way we have to do what we can to consolidate everything we can.

Beautiful Weekend

I had a very event filled weekend this past weekend. It started off with a pampered chef party Friday night. I have to say I am no longer a pampered chef virgin. I wasn't able to buy anything just yet, but I will make sure I do especially cuz all the profits go to breast cancer.

Saturday my dad and I took my daughter to Disney on Ice down in Reading. The way down sucked major ass. We sat in traffic, my dad kept telling me how to drive....just a lovely 1 hour car trip. We actually missed the first couple minutes of the show, but I loved it, Morgan loved it too. She actually sat through the whole thing which is a definite first for her. The only shitty thing about that day was my airhead neighbor across the street backed into my dads car. Which kinda put a damper on the day.

Sunday......Sunday Todds dad came over to watch football. My fantasy team kicked ass again!!!! So I was happy that was until my beloved Cowboys came on. What the hell is happening to my team??? Tony Romo is now out for 4 weeks with a broken pinky (what a sis). And there are a lot of other key players out for a while too, but I won't bore you with their names. So there goes our chance at the playoffs. But anyway that was my wonderful funfilled, eventful weekend.

October 3rd.....my birthday!

So I remember when I was a kid, I would count down the days to my birthday. Birthdays are not what they used to be. I don't count down the days anymore, especially this year. I turned the big 25 today...that's half way to 50. If I am having a hard time turning 25 what the hell am I going to do once I hit 30 (don't even want to think about it).

So my day went as follows....my dad came over at 11 with a card and a cute little birtday cake, no message on the cake or anything, in fact it was halloween colors, but it's the thought that counts. My dad and my daughter sang happy birthday to me, I have to say it was really cute. After my dad left I picked up my mom and she took me and Morgan out to lunch then to the mall to do some shopping. My first stop was Motherhood....yes I am 12 1/2 weeks pregnant and already have a belly and need maternity clothes, but who cares they are cute and comfy, but still it is way too early in my mind to be showing already. Spent way to much money on clothes, but I love them. Then we just walked around the mall for a while (i HATE the mall by the way) looking at different stores that have all the same stuff. I dropped my mom off and went home. Todd got me a nintendo ds for my b-day when we were in texas so i really wasn't expecting anything from him, but "morgan" bought me a very nice watch for my birthday, then my night was completed by going to Olive Garden...my favorite!!!

We are starting to think of baby names now, that's how we finished off the evening. I have my names picked out. Girl-Hannah or Leah, Boy-Ethan or Jacob. Todd likes Taylor for a girl and he hasn't come up with any boy names. We fought forever to decide on Morgan so hopefully I will just win this one, I really like the name Ethan for a boy and I feel deep down that that is what we will be having.

Joining the blog train

Well it seems like blogging is the thing to do so I have decided to bore people with my life. Let's see where to start....I am 24, the big 25 on Friday. I am married to the love of my life, Todd. We have been together for 8 years and married for 3 1/2. On February 9, 2006 we welcomed our daughter Morgan into the world. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me. She keeps me grounded and always help me to remember to cherish every day and to not take advantage of anything. Even though she is only 2 1/2 I would have to say she is my best friend in the world. I am expecting #2 now, just hit the 12 week mark today. I am so excited but so scared at the same time.

So about me....I am a realtor in the shitty housing market of the Lehigh Valley and haven't sold a house since January. Not quite sure if I am cut out for the real estate world, but I would love to flip a house one day. My new ambition is to get trained in dog grooming and one day open up a shop in my home.



So basically right now I am a stay at home mom, trying to keep myself busy at home and not gain 1000 lbs with this baby.
