Excited

Today started out pretty shitty! I was feeling on the bitchy side and was upset because I am broke, but what else is new. It is funny how things can turn around so quickly. I got a phone call a little while ago telling me that our income tax check was in!!! We weren't expecting this until next Friday so i was really surprised. So the first thing i did was call this place called Womb with a View. I set up a 3D u/s for Feb.11th. It is a Valentine's gift for me and Todd. I haven't told him yet....maybe i should keep it a secret:) I was expecting to pay almost $200 for it because i wanted a dvd of the session, but when i called they told me about another package so it's only $125 plus tax. Which i don't think is bad since my 20 week u/s cost me $138. We will get a 30 minute session, 4 pictures, a gender check and a DVD of the whole session. I am so excited, I can't wait to see my little peanut. Let the countdown to my appointment begin!! 12 DAYS YAY!!!!!

The drama of little girls

So I have learned that all girls are defiant. Morgan has been that way since I was 16 weeks pregnant. For some reason I thought this pregnancy would be different. Nope, I was wrong. Alyssa's movements were pretty slow last night and every time i woke up last night i waited for movement but nothing. So this morning i made sure to eat a good breakfast and i had a soda. I know that the docs say to do the kick count so from 9-10:30 I laid on the couch from one side to the next to by back and i only got 5 kicks in 1 1/2 hrs. Which freaked me out a little because usually when she moves i will get 10 kicks in 10 mins..give or take. So i decided to call the doc and of course they had me go in. I had to get a non-stress test done, basically they monitored me on a machine and i had to push a little button every time she moved. I swear to you the second they put that monitor on her she was all over the place. I was on the machine for about 30 mins if that and she must of moved at least 20 times. Made me look like a liar!! But all is well, she is just fine. It just really sucked that this happened today of all days since we got 5 inches of snow and ice last night, but i made it there and back and all is good!!

29 weeks

Not too much new my way since my last post. I had my 29 week appointment today. I will run you through exactly how it went. My appointment was at 1:45. I didn't get called back until 2:30...which had me pissed because it never takes that long. She checked my weight, I am only up 2 pounds which is good. Then checked my blood pressure, which was elevated...yay. Then i had to remind her about my rhogram shot...idiot. Wow, did that hurt, my arm is still throbbing. I got taken back and a resident doc came in, did the normal checks and said she would be back in with the doc. Then when my normal doc came in he did all the same things she did and asked the same questions so i do not know the point of the 2 docs but whatever. The resident was concerned about my belly size so my normal doc rechecked. I am measuring at 28 1/2 weeks, and i am 29 today, he didn't seem too concerned. At my last appointment i was measuring 28 weeks at 27 weeks along, so hopefully she decides to have a growth spurt and catch up.



The doc seemed pretty concerned about my blood pressure. I had pre-eclampsia with morgan so he said i am at a greater risk of getting it again with alyssa. He reminded me of all the symptoms to look out for and to call right away if i get any of them. This scares me a little because with Morgan I got pre-eclampsia at 38 weeks and they just induced me. So for my blood pressure to be elevating already makes me wonder if she is gonna make her appearance early. As long as i can keep her in until week 36 i will be happy. Lets just hope no bedrest with this pregnancy, I don't know how i would do that with a 2 year old.



In other non baby related news. My baby is going to be 3 in less than 2 weeks. Her birthday party is next weekend. I just can't believe 3 years have gone by.

Nesting

So I think that I am offically nesting, either that or i am losing my mind. I will list all the things i've done today.

My bedroom: dusted every dresser, nighstand, armoir...i mean every drawer. Cleaned all the windows and ledges. Windexed all my pictures and mirrors and the tv. Then i organized a little and vacummed.

My bathroom and Morgan's Bath: Emptied out all the cabinets, wiped all the shelves and rearranged everything. Scrubbed the toilets, i even got down on my hands and knees and did the sides of the toilets(gross). Then scrubbed the shower/tub, finally mopped the floor. Oh yeah i washed all the floor mats from both baths too.

Morgan's Room and Playroom: Cleaned all the windows, wiped all shelves, cleaned all the tv's, and organized everything.

I am now in the process of mopping the floors up to where i stopped cleaning. I still have the kitchen, living room, and Todd's manroom to do. I don't know if i will finish it all today since i can now barely walk because of how bad my back hurts. So that was my day....fun, fun!!

3rd Trimester

Today officially starts the 3rd trimester...Almost done!!! YAY

So today i had my doc appointment. I needed to drink the glucose and they took blood. fun fun. I guess i won't get my rhogram shot until next time. I gained more weight a number we won't talk about. Me and pregnancy really don't go well together. It's just more that i am gonna have to work on taking off, oh well. I told the doc about my cramping so he checked me. He said all is fine down there and it doesn't seem to be pre-term labor which is good. But he did say that he thinks it might be a bladder infection, i really don't think so but whatever. I honestly think it's just cuz she is growing and plus she is really low. I am supposed to drink nothing but cranberry juice today. Don't know about that one. I am supposed to call if the pain gets worse then they will monitor me at the office or the hospital, so hopefully it gets better instead of worse. Oh and he said i am measuring 28 weeks but he said that that is fine. Now i start to go every 2 weeks. I can't believe i only have 3 months left...if that!!!

Todd got the carpet last night for the girls rooms. I am trying to get him to put alyssa's carpet in today but i don't think that's gonna happen, but atleast we got it.

The joys of pregnancy

Today has been a very uneventful day. I have been having cramping and backpains since yesterday, so i called the doctor and they basically put me on bedrest for today. They didn't want to see me only because I have an appointment tomorrow. Me and pregnancy really don't mix well. With Morgan I was having contractions early and was put in the hospital for monitoring. Then I was put on bedrest for a week. I was dilated around 30 wks with her. Then I had to get induced because of pre-eclampsia. I was hoping i wouldn't have any issues with this pregnancy but i think she will be difficult too. It must be a girl thing! I have been having braxton hicks contractions for a couple days and they are really starting to get annoying. Can't wait til my doc appointment tomorrow. I am going to have to make a list of complaints for my doc.....my feet kill, my pelvic bone kills (u should see me get dressed..OUCH) my back hurts, i'm crampy, having contractions and my boobs are leaking. At least i'm not swollen...knock on wood. I am sure the doc will check me tomorrow to make sure that nothing is going on down there. I will be sure to post with whatever occurs at my appointment tomorrow.

Officially Bored!

I really don't know what to do with myself anymore. I hate just sitting around and I don't want to go shopping cuz i spend too much money, plus I keep buying stuff for Alyssa leaving barely anything on my registry for family to buy...since i'm not having a shower. So with an impending snow storm tomorrow I think I am going to re-decorate Morgan's room. She got a new bedspread for X-mas. It's little mermaid, and she is obsessed w/ princess so i think i'm gonna run to Lowe's and get paint and some wall stickers and new window treatments. I guess that's spending money...huh???

I have other stuff that I could do around the house, but they all involve cleaning and scrubbing and I hate doing that. Bathrooms are my pet peeve so i try to avoid them as much as possible. I could also go through my basement, but i don't see the reward in that. If my energy keeps up every room in my house will be redone by the time Alyssa comes. Really wish the carpet was down in her room cuz then her closet organizer could go in and I could start washing stuff and hanging stuff up, but right now stuff is shoved in dressers and totes and under her crib. I know i still have a while to go so i should just relax. I will be sure to post pics if i decide to redo morgan's room.

My Kitchen

Just wanted to post some pics of my kitchen....finished!! I did the backsplash yesterday. It took me over 2 hours but it was worth it. The pics don't really do it justice, it really looks awesome. It looks too nice to be in my house!! The only thing missing is the new range hood. Ours is broken so I ordered one from Sears. It will be here on the 16th, then the only eyesore is the fridge which is white. Its dying, so soon we will have a nice black one.

Alyssa's book shelf came yesterday. I have to say i really like it but i am disappointed in the quality. It is really cheap especially for what i paid for it, but i don't feel like dealing w/ the hassel of returning it. I really do love the way it looks though. I will post final pics of her room once it's done. Hopefully by February.

26 weeks

So today marks 26 weeks preggers. I feel as if i am 36 weeks. My feet hurt, my back aches, and I feel as if i pulled a muscle in my crotch. Oh yeah did i mention that my boobs have already started leaking!!! Gotta love being pregnant! No progress on Alyssa's room yet so since i am bored i decided to do a little makeover on my kitchen. Let's see....not to much else is new time is slowly going by, I really wish the baby's room was done so I can get it all organized and start washing some stuff and get it all hung up, but can't do one thing before the other. I ordered a bookshelf for her room that I love, from the pics it matches her dresser. I am supposed to get it delivered tomorrow so that will give me something to do. Gotta have plans to do something around the house everyday, I don't want to just sit around because I know soon that's all i will be able to do. I really have a feeling she is coming early. Maybe a March baby. We will see. Here are some fun pics of my last couple of days.

The kitchen after. I absolutly love the color, it makes my kitchen feel so much warmer. This pic doesn't really show it well, the whiter area is my venetian plaster backsplash that i did a couple months ago. I am going to try to do a faux stone finish. Maybe will do that tomorrow, got nothing better to do.

So that's all that's going on my way. A little over 90 days til my due date...will i make it that far?? Doubt it. My prediction is either March 31 or April 1. I really have a feeling that I will have to get induced again, but who knows she could stay in there until May! We will see.
